We are beginning a new math program this year called enVision. This program allows our students to become critical math thinkers and doers. There will be a combination of small group games and activities, large group lessons, and small group and independent work time.
At the beginning of each new unit, your child will bring home a parent letter that explains the topics we will be studying, and tips for helping your child. On the reverse side will be a take home game. I encourage you to play these games with your child at home--they're a great home-school connection!
Math homework will be sent home most nights after we get the year off on the right foot. This math homework is only a review and should not take your child more than 10 minutes (more typically it will take them less than that!) If you find your child is struggling a lot with the homework, please let me know so we can help address that problem.
We'll be learning lots and having lots of fun in math this year!
